Risparmio Casa, founded in the 1960s, is an Italian-run business with a network of more than 160 stores across Italy, Switzerland and now, Malta. The store stocks a vast variety of products including cleaning products, home care, beauty, personal care and household goods.

A leader in the retail market, expanding to the international level, Risparmio Casa is hiring Sales Assistants for the next store opening.

 

The candidates will assist the Store Manager with the following responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all store areas and the assortment of products are properly organized and kept in order.
  • Check the goods using the appropriate devices- Training will be provided.
  • Supervise and ensure that the merchandise is positioned correctly on the shelves in compliance with the directives provided by the Store Manager.
  • Report defective or internally used goods to the Store Manager
  • Report any theft of goods.
  • Carry out cash transactions.
  • Assist with signage and pricing of products.

 

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in retail/international retail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-moving environment.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Flexibility.
  • Excellent communication skills in English. (Maltese and/or Italian will be a plus).
  • Flexibility to work different shifts including weekends and public holidays.

A leader in the retail market, expanding to the international level, Risparmio Casa is hiring an Accounts Clerk to join our growing team.


The candidate will have the following responsibilities:

  • Posting of sales and purchase invoices and any other day-to-day financial transactions in the respective ledgers.
  • Processing of supplier payments.
  • Creditor statement reconciliations.
  • Cash reconciliations.
  • Carrying our general bookkeeping duties.
  • Posting and reconciling of bank receipts and payments.
  • Assisting with monthly financial reporting.
  • Assisting with payroll and the necessary processing of payments.
  • Assisting in the year end audit.
  • Executing control procedures.



Skills and Requirements

  • Minimum two years of experience in a similar role.
  • Minimum Advanced level in Accountancy.
  • Familiarity with Accounting software (SAP & AS400 will be a plus).
  • Previous experience in a retail environment would be considered an asset.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office tools (especially Excel).
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Italian. (Maltese would be considered a plus).
